Friends of the Library

Friends of the Newtown Public Library (FOL): The FOL is an all-volunteer not-for-profit 501C3 organization. The purpose of the FOL shall be twofold: FOL shall raise funds to be donated to the library to be used for the betterment of the library. FOL shall promote community awareness of the library by offering programs for the community’s entertainment and education.

Join the Friends:The FOL meets every month from September through May. Support your library, meet nice people, and participate in educational and entertaining activities by becoming a Friend of the Library. Pick up a Membership Form at the library.

Book Sale: Next book sale will be in August 2015. There will be no February book sale.Sign-up to receive email alerts about our book sales. Click here to add yourself to the email list. Sales take place every August in the Newtown Public Library’s community room

How to Donate books.

Hand Crafters meet every Monday at 2 pm in the community room. Come to chat and knit, needlepoint, etc, or just chat. No sign-up necessary. Questions:  Louise Dececco  – 610-356-7981.

Gardening: Please call 610-353-1022 if you could help in the library’s patio garden.

Scrabble is Back  Ages 18+ every Tuesday in the library at 5:30 PM.
