Friends of the Newtown Public Library (FOL)
The FOL is an all volunteer not-for-profit 501C3 organization. The purpose of the FOL shall be twofold. FOL shall raise funds to be donated to the library to be used for the betterment of the library. FOL shall promote community awareness of the library by offering programs for the community's entertainment and education.

Join the Friends: The FOL meet every month from September through May. Support your library by becoming a Friend of the Library. Pick up a Membership Form at the library or print this membership form.

Donate books:  With questions, call 610-329-1905. Ask for Sharon. Also, there are item collection bins, clearly marked, at Storage King (3952 North Providence Road just down from La Locanda in Newtown Square), Ellis Athletic Center and  Burlap & Bean (at the Shops at Springton Pointe, 204 South Newtown Street Road in Newtown Square). Look for a bin at the Acme in January 2014. You may also drop book off at the library if there are less than 2 boxes or bags.

The Friends of the Library collects books, music CDs, DVDs and complete puzzles. They do not accept encyclopedias or old text books

Lobby Book Donation Cart:  Hardback books are $1.00. Paperback books are 50 cents. When you take a book from the cart, please give your money at the circulation desk in the library. To donate books, just put them on the cart. After you have read your book(s) you can bring it back and put it back on the cart.
All donations from the book sale and the donation cart go to benefit the Newtown Public Library.

Hand Crafters meet every Monday at 2 pm in the community room. Come to chat and knit, needlepoint, etc, or just chat. No sign-up necessary.

Book Club: has been discontinued

Gardening: Please call 610-353-1022 if you could help in the library's patio garden.

Scrabble is Back (Ages 18+ please) every Tuesday at the library at 5:30pm.
