Friends of the Newtown Public Library


The FOL is an all volunteer not-for-profit 501C3 organization. The purpose of the FOL shall be twofold. FOL shall raise funds to be donated to the library to be used for the betterment of the library. FOL shall promote community awareness of the library by offering programs for the community's entertainment and education.

Donations for our next sale. Call 610-353-1715 for drop off information. Directions and information are also available at the library. In addition to books, we are accepting videos, CDs, books on tape, games and puzzles. No encyclopedias, old textbooks, Readers Digest condensed books or "dated" magazines such as Time or National Geographic. We will have another book sale in 4-6 months.

FOL Lobby Book Donation Cart:  Hardback books, VHS, DVD, books on tape or CD are $1.00. Paperback books, games and puzzles are $0.50. Give your donation at the circulation desk in the library. To donate items, just put the books on the cart. After you have read your book you can bring it back and put it back on the cart. All donations from the book sale and the donation cart go to benefit the library.

Hand Crafters meet every Monday at 2 pm in the community room. Come to chat and knit, needlepoint, etc, or just chat. No sign-up necessary!
